The Southern Kings have suffered a blow as Michael Killian will be unavailable to play Super Rugby for the Port Elizabeth franchise for at least four more weeks.
Killian refractured his arm last week during training and Director of Rugby, Alan Solomons says that Killian will not take part in any contact until the bone has reknitted.
“He will be out for another four weeks,” Solomons told Rugby15.
Aside from former Lion Killian Solomons said that they also had concerns over Jacques Engelbrecht, who was nursing sore ribs following Saturday night’s clash against the Sharks.
“He has been for x-rays and everything looks okay, but we will be keeping a close eye on him and see how his recovery goes during the week,” he said.
Team captain Luke Watson was originally named on the bench for the Sharks match and Solomons said that there is still some concern over the throat injury he sustained in the match against the Force.
Solomons said that Watson saw a specialist last week and was withdrawn from the game against the Sharks on Saturday.
“Luke will be doing further tests this week and will be going back to the specialist later in the week,” he said.
