The Bulls’ loose forward Pierre Spies is doing his rehabilitation with the franchise’s medical team but the forward coach Pote Human said he is still uncertain when the big Springbok will make his return.
“Pierre is in excellent condition and he is working hard with the fitness trainers but the doctors will decide when he is 100 percent fit to play again.” said Human on the Bulls site.
Danie Rossouw as well as Gurthr’ Steenkamp ares also training under the watchful eye of the medical staff but the site says that Bulls management have decided to give the Springboks who were on the end of the year tour to the UK a well deserved break.
The Springboks were well beaten on Saturday by a Barbarian team at Twickenham.
The decision means that Bryan Habana, Akona Ndungane, Wynand Olivier, Wayne Julies, Hilton Lobberts and Bakkies Botha will only join the squad in the first week of January.
The Bulls assemble in George on Monday where they will train for the next three weeks.
