Full-back JP Pietersen will make his Springbok debut in the last match of the 2006 Tri-Nations against Australia on Saturday. The 20-year-old is the only change to the side that stopped NZ’s second Grand Slam in a year with a surprise 21-20 win over the Tri Nations champions in Rustenburg last weekend. Jaque Fourie moves back to the outside centre from full back while centre Wynand Olivier replaces wing Bryan Habana who is suffering from concussion. Fourie played full-back last week but has played most of the Tri-Nations at centre and it is his favourite position. “,Wynand was part of the team that won last weekend, so it would have been a bit unfair to leave him out,”, said coach Jake White. “,It is a bit of a gamble playing him on the wing, but he understands how we want to play having spent a lot of time at number 13. “,That’s what coaching is all about – you can’t just keep trying the same things, you need to look to improve. “,It’s important more players get to buy into what we are trying to do.”, “,Our preparations are a little more positive this week, even though we won by just one point,” said Bok Captain John Smit. “It hasn’t been about picking the guys up from another defeat, but rather about keeping the energy going.”, South Africa: JP Pietersen, Ndungane, Fourie, De Villiers, Olivier, Pretorius, Du Preez, Os du Randt, Smit (capt), BJ Botha, Muller, Matfield, Spies, AJ Venter, Wannenburg.
