Francois Steyn will start at flyhalf for the Sharks in Saturday’s Super 14 match against the Lions at Ellis Park. He replaces French international Frederik Michalak who gets a break and is on the bench.
Good news for the Sharks is that tighthead prop BJ Botha is fit and will start, with Tendai Mtawarira at loosehead in place of Jannie du Plessis, who is on the bench.
Ruan Pienaar (pictured) is also fit after his collarbone injury three weeks ago, and has been included on the bench from where he will no doubt get a run.
AJ Venter is also back after his leg injury. Meanwhile Lions coach Eugene Eloff has made only two changes to his side, with Anton van Zyl returning for Willem Stoltz and Jaco van Schalkwyk starting at flyhalf in place of Louis Strydom, who is injured and could be out for three to four weeks. Rudi Vogt from the Pumas will be the flyhalf on the bench.
