The Waratahs started off a little slowly and they allowed the Stormers to get away from them. Within 15 minutes the Stormers were 10-0 up. The Waratahs then came back but could not manage to level the score until late in the 2nd half.

By full time the Waratahs scored five tries to the Stormers two tries early on.
