Stormers hooker Tiaan Liebenberg has been declared fit and will head to Perth to rejoin the team today

Liebenberg withdrew ahead of the Reds clash three weeks ago after being named on the bench for the Reds match in Brisbane, but the results from an MRI scan confirmed a moderate muscle strain injury to his left thigh.

Bad news for the Stormers is that wing Joe Pietersen has sustained a hamstring injury and he will return home this week.

The Stormers who started slowly will be looking for their third win in Australasia when they take on the Force this weekend.

* In other Stormers news the staff of the Qantas flight between Sydney and Perth called on the assistance of the Stormers to help subdue an unruly passenger at the back of the plane.

Initially Brendan Venter who is the Stormers defense coach tried to reason with the passenger, without much success but then they called upon the quiet but sizable prop Wicus Blaauw to assist and he managed to ‘persuade’ the passenger to calm down.

Police boarded the plane in Perth and arrested the passenger. The Stormers were officially thanked by the crew.
