Stormers scrumhalf Bolla Conradie is on his way back to South Africa after sustaining a calf strain in the match against the Chiefs last Friday.

An MRI scan on Monday confirmed the diagnosis. Conradie will receive treatment and rehabilitation in Cape Town and is expected to be out for about 10 days.

Western Province scrumhalf Conrad Hoffmann is on his way to New Zealand to replace the injured Bolla.

** Meanwhile Stormers coach Rassie Erasmus is unlikely to immediately utilise the services of 34-year-old former All Black and Sharks Tony Brown who has joined the Stormers from Japan.

The Stormers play the Blues in Auckland on Saturday.

Brown was part of the Wild Knights team that won the All Japan National Championship at the weekend. As he doesn’t know the Stormers moves and set pieces he is unlikely to feature against the Blues.
