Stormers head coach Robbie Fleck has confirmed that their Bok second row duo of Eben Etzebeth and Pieter-Steph du Toit will miss this weekend’s Super Rugby match.
The Stormers are already assured of a home quarter final as a result of them winning the Africa 1 Conference and they are almost certain to finish the regular season in third place.
Fleck says that as per the Springbok resting plan Etzebeth and Du Toit will be rested for this week’s match against the Southern Kings.
“Both Eben Etzebeth and Pieter-Steph du Toit are being rested this weekend as per Bok resting plan,” said the Stormers coach.
Aside from the two Boks being rested Fleck said,”For us it is about selecting the strongest side possible for this game to take momentum into the play-offs.”
Centre Daniel du Plessis was ruled out due injury earlier in the week.
The Stormers are currently 10/1 to win the Super Rugby title.
