Stormers beat Kings in Cape Town




The fourth of six Super Rugby matches on Saturday in the final round of the Super Rugby season is in Cape Town where the Stormers host the Southern Kings.

0.43 : The Stormers get the perfect start as Huw Jones chips the ball ahead and chases and gets the ball and scores. TRY!

2.00: Jean-Luc du Plessis adds the conversion.

5.00: The Stormers set up a line out on the 5m line after a penalty.  Jean Kleyn of the Stormers has to come off due to blood.

6.00: The Stormers win the line out but knock on.

15.00: Du Plessis just creeps in the conversion.

18.00: Penalty to the Southern Kings. Dewald Human takes the kick and nails it.

24.00: The Stormers get the scrum put in as a break by Schalk Burger as Vincent Koch loses the ball and it goes off a Kings player.

26.00: The Stormers move the ball through the hands and from side to side. Leolin Zas goes for the line and slides over to score. TRY!

28.00: Du Plessis adds the conversion.

31.00: The Kings attack the Kings line and Louis Schreuder is yellow carded for killing the ball.

32.00: The Kings take the line out. The Stormers however come away with the ball and they boot the ball upfield.

35.00: The Kings go through the phases on attack in the Stormers half. They move the ball through 8 phases but can’t get into the 22. After 10 phases they win a penalty.

37.00: After some relentless attack by the Kings, Shane Gates chips the ball ahead and Malcolm Jaer wins the race to the ball and scores. TRY!

38.00: Jean-Luc du Plessis is being helped from the field with a leg injury of some sort. Human slots the conversion.

40.00: The siren sounds for half time. It is half time.

42.00: The Kings attack down the wing but the pass goes forward.

43.00: Penalty to the Stormers from the scrum. They kick for touch.

46.00: The Stormers move the ball across the field and they pass the ball out to Huw Jones who goes in for his Hat trick TRY!

47.00: Brandon Thomson takes the conversion kick but misses.

52.00: The Stormers attack in the KIngs 22, they pass the ball down the line but the ball is knocked on. The TMO will have a look at the knock. Penalty against Edgar Marutlulle.

54.00:The Stormers kick for touch and the line out. Schalk Ferreira comes on for Sti Sithole.

56.0: The Kings snatch the line out. Watts clears the ball into touch.

57.00: A Malcolm Jaer has taken a knock and is down. Jaer is stretchered off. Jeremy Ward comes on.

59.00: The Kings make a mistake and the Stormers pounce. Watts fumbles the ball at the back of a ruck. They attack in the corner and Zas scores his second in the corner.

60.00: Thomson misses the conversion.

64.00: Penalty to the Kings. They kick for touch and the line out.

65.00: Kevin Luiters comes on for James Hall. The Kings win the line out.

66.00: The Kings are on the attack and Leolin Zas gets the intercept and races to the line to score a hat trick TRY of his own.

68.00: Huw Jones makes a break and attacks the Kings. He gets them into the Stormers 22 and Brandon Thomson scores. TRY!

72.00: The Kings kick to the corner and set up the line out. They win the line out and kick behind the try line but everyone misses the ball. The Kings have a penalty and kick to the corner.

74.00: The Stormers turn the ball over and kick it into touch. The Kings win the line out but knock on.

76.00: The Kings keep the pressure on and they stretch the Stormers and Wandile Mjekevu scores. TRY!

77.00: Watts adds the conversion.

78.00: The Stormers go on the attack again and Huw Jones goes over for his fourth TRY !

79.00: Thomson adds the conversion.
