Sunwolves start Pisi at 10 for Super Rugby opener

New Asian Super Rugby franchise the Sunwolves have named former Hurricanes and Samoan international Tusi Pisi to start at flyhalf against the Lions in Tokyo.

Pisi was part of the Samoan Rugby World Cup squad in 2015 and has Super Rugby experience from his two years with the Hurricanes and before that the Crusaders.

Elsewhere in the team former Cheetahs and Sharks back Riaan Viljoen has been named to start at fullback while former Reds forward Ed Quirk starts at No.8.

Also in the forwards are former Blues flanker Lioki Moli and American Andrew Durutalo who form the back row with Quirk.

The team is captained by former Melbourne Rebels hooker Shota Horie.
