Super Rugby team by team preview round 16

on

There are just three regular rounds of Super rugby remaining before the play offs and while the Crusaders have booked a place in the play offs it should be noted that they have played one more match than most teams at this stage.

The Brumbies lead the Australian Conference and the Jaguares lead the South African conference. The Brumbies have played the same number of matches as the second placed Rebels and have a one point lead over the Melbourne side. The Rebels have a better points differential which could prove to be crucial.

After this week the Brumbies have matches against the Waratahs and the Reds while the Rebels have the Chiefs and Crusaders to play.

The Jaguares have a three point lead over the Sharks and they have won eight matches compared to the Sharks who have won 6. (Wins count more than points differential if the teams are level on points). As a result of their number of wins and draw the Jaguares are looking good to top the SA conference – and after this week they have two home matches remaining (Sharks and Sunwolves).

In our current form rankings which is based upon the last five matches, points scored, points conceded and matches won the Crusaders, Brumbies and Jaguares are still the top three teams.
