Super rugby round 17 is the penultimate round before the playoffs and 13 of the 15 teams have two matches to play and the other two have just one.

This weekend the Chiefs have the bye and next weekend the Crusaders have the bye so they both have just one match remaining.

The mid-table is still heavily congested and the final placings will come down to the final round.

The top spot has been all but sealed by the Crusaders. They lead the New Zealand Conference and in second place as leaders of the South African conference is the Jaguares.

The Brumbies top the Australian Super Rugby conference and they have a five-point lead over the Rebels.
