Surgery rules Dreyer out for Lions

Johannesburg based Super Rugby franchise the Lions have revealed that Ruan Dreyer has fractured his right wrist and he will have surgery on the injury.

Lions team doctor, Dr.Rob Collins has confirmed that Ruan Dreyer will undergo an operation on Tuesday.

Dreyer fractured his right wrist in the Super Rugby match against the Southern Kings in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

The Lions have predicted that frame for Dreyer’s return is around six months which rules him out of Super Rugby for 2016.

The Lions host the Hurricanes in Johannesburg this weekend.
