The HSBC Waratahs have gone down to the Crusaders 34 points to 33 in a spirited and highly entertaining encounter at Aussie Stadium, scoring four tries to the Crusaders six in what was their best performance of the 2007 season.


In front of 25,494 fans, the Waratahs picked up two bonus points for their efforts, for scoring four tries and losing by less than seven.

7.40pm AEST ‘ Stephen Brett (Crusaders) kicks off to get the match underway.

30th Min ‘ The Crusaders pick up the bonus point with their fourth try, scored off a good break and neat inside pass by Aaron Mauger, Bretts conversion attempt is wide. Crusaders 22-5.

56th Min ‘ The Crusaders go in again, Gear scoring his second after selling a massive dummy. Bretts conversion attempt is wide. Crusaders 34-25.
