Post match scans have revealed that Emirates Western Force centre Junior Pelesasa has fractured his right ankle during the 29-5 loss to the Hurricanes at Yarrow Stadium in New Plymouth last night.

He is expected to be out for between eight and 10 weeks.

Pelesasa was taken from the field shortly before halftime, and immediately had ice applied to his ankle. He had only recently returned from a shoulder reconstruction suffered in the Brisbane club competition in late 2005.

Pelesasa was born in New Zealand and went to Australia when he was 16 to visit his Aunt and never left. Pelesasa played 33 Super 12 games for the Reds.
