The Crusaders have named their team to play the Cats on Friday. The team has six changes from the team that beat the Chiefs last week. Ben Franks, Kevin O’Neill, Johnny Leo’o, Brad Mika and Casey Laulala all come into the starting line-up while halfback Kevin Senio regains the spot he held for the first four rounds.

Rookie Prop Ben Franks will get his first start for the Crusaders after making his Super 14 debut off the bench last week.

Prop Campbell Johnstone was unavailable due to injury, while loose forward Tanerau Latimer is away with the New Zealand sevens team at the Commonwealth Games.

The biggest surprise comes in the captaincy where Reuben Thorne takes over the captaincy from Richie McCaw who is named on the bench.

Daniel Carter has been named in the starting line up despite early injury concerns.

Last week the Cats were woeful and went down 50-3 to the Waratahs.
