All Blacks centre Isaia Toeava looks set to miss Saturday’s Tri-Nations and Bledisloe Cup Test in Melbourne against the Wallabies.
After an intensely physical victory over the Springboks last Saturday, Toeava has emerged with a bruised shoulder, which, according to New Zealand radio station Newstalk ZB has resulted in All Blacks assistant coach Wayne Smith rating him as highly doubtful to face Australia this weekend.
Regular outside centre last year, Conrad Smith, is not in Australia with the All Blacks after being ruled out with a hamstring injury.
Either Mils Muliaina or Luke McAlister is likely to fill in for Toeava, with Leon MacDonald able to fill in at fullback should Muliaina move to the midfield.
