The Free State Cheetahs have announced their team to take on Western Province at Newlands in Cape Town this Saturday, with two Springboks returning to the fold for the Bloemfontein outfit.

Springbok prop Coenie Oosthuizen returns to the team for this decisive encounter. The 23-year-old will celebrate his 50th Currie Cup cap in the process and is joined by Springbok vice-captain Adriaan Strauss. Strauss will captain the side once more.

Pieter Labuschagne has been ruled out of the match due to a concussion he sustained against the Sharks last weekend.

Hendro Scholtz, who was called out of retirement after a loose forward crisis hit the team, will start in his place.

“We know that our game at Newlands is of great importance,” Drotske said after he named his team on Wednesday.

“Therefore we have chosen to play Coenie and Adriaan, and we are hoping that they will light the fire for us.

“It is bad to be without Johan Goosen, but the rest of the side know what is up for grabs.”
