The HSBC Waratahs new mascot is encouraging fans to take public transport to get to the Sydney Football Stadium early for Saturday’s Super 14 season opener against the Hurricanes.

Rugby’s newest sensation, Visy Tah Man says that taking the bus or train is the only way to get the most out of your match day experience.

‘By taking public transport to get to the ground early, not only will get to see the HSBC Junior Waratahs crush the Queensland Academy, but you will also see my spectacular entry to the Sydney Football Stadium for the very first time,’ said Visy Tah Man.

Making his first public appearance atop Sydney Tower SkyWalk earlier this week, the Round 1 clash with the Hurricanes will be the first time Tah Man will be present to pump up the SFS crowd in his own unique way.

‘Tah Man never does things by halves, so I can assure all fans attending the match that my entry to the ground is something that should not be missed,’ added a pumped-up Tah Man.

The Waratahs will also be helping a good cause every time they cross the tryline tomorrow night and throughout the season thanks to their major sponsor HSBC.

HSBC will donate $500 for every try scored, and $1000 for every fourth try scored by the Waratahs, to the Score for Charity program, raising money for HSBC kids, the tutoring and mentoring program run by HSBC and children’s charity Barnardos.
