Wales winger George North could miss the rest of his country’s tour of New Zealand after injuring his hamstring in the 39-21 loss

North was one of Wales’ best players in the Eden Park loss but pulled up at the end of the match with the hamstring injury.

Wales are in New Zealand for three tests and a midweek match against 2012 Super Rugby champions the Chiefs.

Wales have two Tests against New Zealand remaining over the coming two weekends.

“George has a hamstring injury and we’ll assess him tomorrow to see if he’ll be able to play a further part in the tour,” said coach Warren Gatland.

“It’s very disappointing because I thought George was outstanding today, and his battle with Waisake Naholo was a great part of the game.”

Meanwhile Scarlets scrum-half Aled Davies has arrived in New Zealand as an injury replacement for Lloyd Williams.

Williams will return home to the U.K on Sunday along with prop Paul James who has failed to recover from a calf injury

Aaron Jarvis arrived as injury cover in New Zealand last Wednesday

Wales have also called Rhys Patchell and Keelan Giles to New Zealand as injury cover.

Patchell, 23, has two Wales caps, both earned on the 2013 summer tour to Japan.

Giles, 18, is currently part of Wales’ U20 Championship squad competing in Manchester. He scored two tries in his side’s opening Championship game and will link up with the National Squad immediately.
