Waratahs start Super 14 preparations in Dubai





New South Wales Waratahs are to begin preparations for the new Super 14 campaign with a flying visit to Bahrain in October.

A squad of 30 players is stopping off in the Kingdom for 48 hours en route to a series of matches in Eastern Europe.

The break will include training sessions for coaches, senior players, colts and age-group squads as well as a dinner and touch tournament.

The Waratahs arrive in Bahrain on October 4 and will depart on October 6 ahead of facing the Czech Republic in Prague on October 8 and then Romania A in Constanta on October 12.

The tour will conclude with further matches against Romania in Bucharest on October 16 and Russia in Moscow on October 21.
