Waratahs want Welsh side the Ospreys’ CEO Hore

Ospreys Chiefs Executive Andrew Hore has revealed that he has been approached by Sydney Super Rugby franchise the Waratahs about becoming their new chief executive.

New Zealand born Hore (not the All Black hooker) was a member of the Wales 2003 World Cup squad has been involved with the Ospreys since 2007 and was part of the Wales team management that won a Six Nations Grand Slam in 2005.

Prior to joining the Ospreys the 43-year-old was also Welsh Rugby Union and New Zealand rugby high performance manager.

Hore has been chief executive of the Ospreys Pro 12 side since 2013 and have recently announced show a positive financial end of year figure for the first time since 2007.

Hore has revealed that the Waratahs contacted him and have asked him to make a decision on his future.

“They have spoken to me but you get spoken to all the time,” Hore told BBC Wales Sport.

“It’s not the first or the last time I’ll be approached hopefully.”

“I’m going to balance everything up and make a decision on that, but I’m not going to sit here and say whether I’m coming or going publicly.”
