Whiteley returns to lead Lions against Chiefs

Johannesburg’s Lions have brought back regular team captain Warren Whiteley for this Friday’s match against the Chiefs in the FMG Stadium in Waikato.

Whiteley returns from a seven week lay off after suffering a pectoralis major muscle tear in the match against the Stormers in Cape Town.

The Lions captain joined his team-mates on Sunday after passing a fitness test on Friday.

Rotation dictates several positions, like Gianni Lombard at ten, Ross Cronje at nine, Robbie Coetzee at hooker and Sylvian Mahuza at fullback.
